You are absolutely right, John. One of Hegseth's priorities for the Pentagon is to restore the "warrior ethos." I was once a proud warrior for our Republic -- and I hope the new SecDef will take a hard look and the lack of warrior ethos in our service academies that are now liberal arts colleges.
The next step in DEI is to point out that the ranks are severely under represented by Chinese and Russians. They'll fix that problem by inculcating the troops into the advantages of a quick surrender.
Shortcut, one way of cleaning out the closet is have the guy at the top, do all the dirty work of undoing the “dirty work” he was in charge of.
