Never forget the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War--horrible slaughter despite the amazing fortitude and courage of our American brothers--approximately 1,029 U.S. soldiers killed in action. Additionally, there were 4,894 missing and 4,582 wounded, with 7,338 non-battle casualties due to the extremely cold weather. 😥

Neither must we forget those who perished in the jungles of Viet Nam (one of whom was a college friend of mine)--the battles in la Drang Valley and Khe Sangh and the Tet Offensive, to name a few.

You are right, Trish. Americans should be taught in their early school years about of our soldiers, airmen, sailors and Marines who died in foreign battlefields defending our Constitutional republic.
